Bio

I was born and raised in Florida, which makes me one of the rare NATIVE Floridians. I spent most of my childhood in Melbourne, Florida until I went away to college in Orlando.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando. My first ‘real’ job was with Harris Corporation in Melbourne, where I worked for 10 years in the Accounting and Finance departments.

A wonderful thing happened to me the summer before my senior year in college, I married my sweetheart Mark! We have been blessed with three wonderful children, Matthew, Libby and Hannah.

I began working part-time as the Accountant for Community Presbyterian Church in September of 2001. My responsibilities include accounting for all contributions and expenses, preparing financial statements and keeping the pastors, staff, elders and congregation informed of our financial status. I assist the elders and staff in preparing budgets and monitoring them monthly. Finally, I encourage our staff and congregation to be wonderful stewards of God’s provisions!

My volunteer activities include: assisting our very talented Shaun Hartsell with leading the Sr. Hi students at youth group each week, mentoring several student leaders, teaching an occasional adult Sunday school class and participating in a wonderful small group, where Mark and I have made lifelong friends.

For fun, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, cooking and spending time outdoors.

I feel blessed to be part of such a wonderful church family and to work with such an incredible staff of talented, loving, supportive, caring and witty people.
