Bio
I was born and raised in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Growing up, church was very important. Mom was involved in the Music Ministry as the Choir Director, with her Mother serving as the Organist/Pianist. Of course, I started studying piano at age 5 and my grandmother had me at the organ console at 10. We had this huge Wurlitzer organ that you could hide behind and for the first three times I played, she sat on the bench with me. Grandma and I played many piano and organ duets together over the years.
I moved to Florida in 1971, to attend college at the University of Florida where I studied Interior Design and Music. I always knew that God was calling me into Music Ministry, at some level. I have always done a combination of Design and Music. I think I have the best of both worlds!
In the early '80's I worked in Boston Designing the "Computer Museum and the giant "Walk Through Computer", then went to California to design several high schools in Bakersfield, and came back to Florida in 1996. I moved into Celebration and had one of those "infamous" meetings with Patrick at Barnie's.
As the first staff member of this church, I feel so blessed to be a part of the most outstanding staff I have ever worked with...not to mention the wonderful church family! I feel so much love, acceptance, and support from everyone here starting with my Pastors, Patrick & Nancy...coming full circle to you, my church family.
